GiftWrap Plus highly values the security and privacy of personal data. We
use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) 128-bit technology to protect donors' personal
information. This security protocol encrypts credit card numbers so they cannot
be copied. The secure environment is indicated in the browser by displaying a
lock or key on the browser status bar. The icon's presence indicates encryption
has been activated. Encryption is a part of all transactions through GiftWrap
Plus all of the time. Data Research Group has has partnered with Authorize.NET
to provide a safe environment for credit card transactions. Authorize.NET uses
the latest SSL encryption technology to securely pass transaction data through
their gateway.

Why should you use an ASP? You might first be asking, "What is an ASP?". An ASP, also referred to as an Application Service Provider
is an organization that supplies a very important service of renting software to other organizations via
the internet as a web application. There are a tremendous number of benefits that come through this model.
Cost for installations and
maintenance are significantly reduced. If you have a PC that is running Internet Explorer and is
connected to the internet, there is no more to do! Client/Server systems running in your office require
a significant effort to both install and maintain.
Managing your data should be
done by professionals. Your time is much more valuable and should be focused on the process of building
relationships and generating support.
Because this is typically
done in a web format, your information is universally accessible. The concept of a single data repository
for all of your enterprise information is foreign, even to most commercial organizations. The amount of
money you will save by eliminating the need to convey information through multiple mediums is staggering
and normally unaccounted for.
No matter which way you turn
it, your costs are significantly reduced, particularly if your organization resides in multiple facilities.
