GiftWrap was originally developed for Assisted
Solutions, Inc. (ASi) in 2002. With their long history and experience with non-profit
organizations and political action committees, the Data
Research Group (DRG) development team saw a real need for an end-to-end donor management
solution providing like organizations a more robust Donor Relationship Manager.
A common aspect of many small, non-profit organizations is satalite work locations –
the staff is usually not co-located thus creating a need for a comprehensive web-solution
for real time automation and collaboration. This new paradigm solved the problem of home
and office data reconciliation, while at the same time providing tremendous oportunities
for future development. Clients and competitors alike were impressed by the power and
simplicity of the new solution.
In the months and years following the initial release of GiftWrap Plus, development and
support were continued with new versions or features being released regularly through
early 2005. In December '05, new resources were dedicated to GWP and the development of
GWP 2.0 began.
With the release of GWP 2.0, GiftWrap PlusTM is again setting the benchmark for
implementing cutting edge technology and innovation in non-profit client management
software. Regular updates are scheduled through 2006, and development staff are currently
designing GWP 3.0 for release in 2007. DRG is committed to meeting the client management
needs of nonprofit organizations, both now and in the future.
